Conservation Group

Weston Favell Village Residents’ Association Conservation Group

The group meets every three months or so to consider conservation issues arising in the whole of the WFVRA area. These might include, but are not limited to, current planning applications, the preservation of the area’s character, the possibility of further amenities, the maintenance/improvement of roads, pathways and verges, and parking.

The Weston Favell Conservation Area designated by the Borough Council is smaller than the footprint covered by the WFVRA. As is the case in for instance Kingsthorpe and Dallington, the Weston Favell Conservation Area comprises the land immediately adjacent to the church and High Street. It is defined by the historic and listed buildings found there. There are more and greater restrictions on the permitted development within this area. A useful leaflet was produced by the Borough Council in 2011, and can be found by searching for ‘Weston Favell Conservation Area Leaflet 2011’ through your preferred web browser.

The group will always be interested to hear from anyone who has a concern, and will be glad to make appropriate representations where these can be justified and effective.

Likewise, the group is anxious to promote an interest and sense of pride in the history of the area, and encourage the continuing development of a safe, healthy and beautiful environment in and around Weston Favell village.
