Weston Favell Village History Project

The Book “Weston Favell 1918-2018 A Village In Transition” was printed in October 2018 and all copies were sold within a short space of time.

There were two reprints.
All copies (308) have now been sold. There will be no more reprints.

Following the great success of the above publication “Weston Favell 1918-2018 A Village In Transition” the WFVRA history committee has decided to resume its work in the autumn. At present, a short history of St Peter’s Church and the production of a leaflet to accompany guided tours of Weston Favell Village are under consideration as projects. Other ideas are welcome. There will be further news at the AGM, together with some recommendations on how best to use the money raised by sales of the book to benefit the local community.

The history project began three years ago when a small group of village residents found a common interest in the more recent history of the village. We wanted to record the many stories, memories, images and changes that former and existing residents had to tell.
