COFFEE MORNING 2ND JANUARY 2017 AT THE BOLD DRAGOON

About 32 of us gathered for our first Coffee Morning of the New Year.  A very good turnout for a Bank Holiday. As  ever Peter & Julie provided nibbles free of charge. Some of us stayed afterwards for a very enjoyable lunch.

Liz Gausden (organiser of our Social Events) paid special thanks to Peter & Julie for everything they have done for us over the past year. She also Praised her Committee colleagues for their support.

However Our sincere thanks must also go to Liz who has worked tirelessly to ensure our Coffee Mornings, Brunches and Drinks Evenings have achieved such astounding success.

The Amplifier System is now working perfectly.

Speaker was our local Resident Ken Giles, who gave a brief but very informative and interesting report on the History of Northampton, emphasising the important status it once held.

COFFEE MORNING MONDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2016

Another hugely successful get together. There was no speaker. However (thanks to Councillor Stephen Legg) we now have an Amplifier System which means everyone can hear the speaker, etc.We all sang carols, and then enjoyed a very tasty Christmas Dinner at the Bold Dragoon.
Councillor Mary Markham provided a dessert for us all.
Our thanks go to Stephen for this very welcome donation of the Amplifier system; to Mary for her Dessert contribution; to Peter & Julie at The Bold Dragoon for all their support during the year, and wonderful food; and last but not least to Liz Gausden who, very efficiently, organises all our social events.

Coffee Morning in Aid of Macmillan 5th Sept 2016

Another well supported Coffee Morning when Residents donated items for sale, in aid of MacMillan.

This, our second Macmillan Coffee Morning, is becoming an extremely popular event.

Peter & Julie at The Bold charged £1 for Tea & Coffee, and very kindly donated it to the Charity.

Sincere thanks must go to Liz Gausden for organising such a wonderful event, to her Husband Andy for donating such beautiful plants, for all the donations received, and for everyone (Members and Residents) who contributed to, and supported, this very worthwhile Cause.
