WESTON FAVELL GREEN SPACES
(constituted within Weston Favell Village Residents’ Association

Dear Resident

We live in a very attractive area of Northampton in close proximity to parks and open spaces including the local pocket park.

Despite this there is still much we can do to improve and expand biodiversity, the general quality of our local environment and to counter the effects of global warming and the climate emergency.

Planting trees is one of the simplest and most beneficial action we can take, since trees absorb carbon, provide habitat for wildlife and shield us from pollution.

We are writing to inform you of a tree planting application we aim to submit to the local authority.  It involves the planting of five additional trees in the area of the nearby pocket park as indicated by the images above. The species chosen will be either indigenous or European: Scots Pine, Silver Birch and Field Maple (UK); Red Oak, Black Walnut (EU).

We are requesting your help in this application by responding to the three questions set out below as part of the consultation process. Please send your responses to the addresses set out below as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your assistance.
